Construction is Underway

We finally have some progress to report. It was quite a struggle to get all the necessary permits and approvals, but our plans are incredible, our team is assembled, and we are excited to be moving forward.

We hope to be completed with construction and back to the business of putting on concerts by early spring of next year. The rebuilt Georgia Theatre will have the same look and feel as it always did. As a matter of fact, from the outside it will be hard to tell any difference at all. The inside, however, will be an amazing combination of old historic grandeur and completely modern functionality. The exposed bricks, plush curtains, and art deco lines will provide a sense of a historic theatre setting, but the modern infrastructure will make for a safe, accessible venue with the production capabilities to host bands of a caliber never before possible.

Terrapin Beer Co. Raises Money to Rebuild a Hometown Landmark - Purchase at 5 Points Bottle Shop

Terrapin Beer Co. is releasing a new series of beers that will be available only in Georgia. Funds generated from the series, "Terrapin's Georgia Theater Sessions," will go to aid in the rebuilding of the historic Georgia Theatre. To sweeten the pot, each of the four releases will have a decidedly Wonka bonus. Each 22-oz. bottle will be in a sealed box, and one box of each release will contain a Golden Ticket.
